Even when you are dead, thieves are stealing from you

Recently it has been reported  that low-life criminals are now targeting cemeteries and stealing brass vases from Denver, Colorado metro area.

In Jefferson County, Colorado one of the largest counties in Colorado, the sheriff’s office found more than 300 stolen vases at a recycling plant. It isn’t clear if these stolen items were brought all at once or over a period of time. But it is known that these vases have been taken from cemeteries in Golden, Denver, Wheat Ridge and Thornton. Replacing the brass vases costs families about $400 per vase.

The sheriff’s office believes there is more than one person involved. It seems that these thieves are going into the cemeteries at night to steal the brass vases. In addition, one of the largest cemeteries in the metro-Denver area, Mount Olivet Cemetery, reports that 300 sprinkler heads were also stolen. The cost for this is around $60,000.

Even in death, it seems that you cannot rest in peace because there are people out there stealing from you for either a quick buck or money for drugs.
