Which stars shined and which did not on Dancing with the Stars

Posted on: October 19, 2010

We are half way through this season of Dancing with the Stars. Last night’s dances featured TV Themes that the stars danced a Quick Step, Rhumba, Fox Trot, Jive, or Tango. The stars that shined were Brandy Norwood, Jennifer Grey, Audrina Patridge, Rick Fox and Kurt Warner. These stars received high scores from the judges from 27 to 24.

The stars that didn’t shine were Kyle Massey, Bristol Palin and Florence Henderson. Granted Kyle received a score of 20 but there was really no Fox Trot in his dance. Len gave him a score of 5 – I think the lowest he gave any star in a couple of weeks.

Bristol Palin looks like she isn’t having much fun anymore. I think she has reached her “Peter Principle”. She has gone as far as she can on this show. She even said that the Jive was not her favorite dance and why Mark had them dressed up as monkeys was really foolish. I know they danced to the Monkeys theme song but come on; we want to see if Bristol can be theatrical and relate to the audience. The monkey suit did nothing for the performance and she messed up several times during the dance with and without the monkey suit.

Florence Henderson’s Tango to the theme song of the “Brady Bunch” was cute and even Len liked it. But Florence hasn’t really picked up the tempo and certainly does not belong in many dances for the next half of this season. Time for her to retire and enjoy watching the show.

I liked Brooke’s emerald green gown she had on last night. The color on her was fantastic! A little deeply cut in the front but at least it was somewhat tasteful.

Who will be eliminated? I believe it’s a toss-up between Florence and Bristol. We’ll see tonight.

Until next time,
