Dancing with the Stars Week Three

Posted on: April 5, 2011

Big news last night on Dancing with the Stars – Carrie Ann Inaba is engaged. Carrie Ann age 43 and fiancé, Jesse Sloan, age 39 announced their engagement on Live with Regis and Kelly show last Thursday. Carrie Ann is now sporting a 2 ½ carat, D-color, princess-cut diamond solitaire ring in platinum from Rafinity. Congrats to the happy couple!

I loved Brook Burke’s dress last night. The dress was elegant and sophisticated sleeveless with plunging neckline black top with a silver inlay long skirt. Kudos to the wardrobe department they did a fantastic job.

I also enjoyed watching the DWTS troupe dance the Paso Doble, Rumba and Samba. It was nice to see professionals showcase how to dance these dances.

Then the stars performed their dances. The theme for this week was “personal story” that they wanted to tell through their dances. Now when you dance the Rumba, Paso Doble, Samba, Cha Cha Cha, Fox Trot and Waltz it may be a little difficult to tell your personal story.

The only one that I thought did an excellent job was Petra Nemcova. She danced a Waltz where she wanted to convey hope and inspiration. For a tall woman this dance brought out the best in Petra. She was elegant and even Len loved her performance, he gave her a 9. Petra and Hines Ward had the highest scores last night of 25. Hines Ward received a 9 from Carrie Ann for his Samba.

Maks and Kirstie Alley took an almost bad fall during their Rumba. Maks said that he stretched his thigh but they both carried on and finished the dance. The judges overlooked the stumble and gave them a total of 21.

Ralph Macchio also performed a Rumba that he dedicated to his wife on their anniversary of 24 years. I didn’t care for his performance but the judges gave him a 21 for his performance.

Romeo’s Rumba wasn’t very good but the judges gave him 20. I also didn’t care for Sugar Ray Leonard’s Paso Doble, but the judges seemed to really like it but they gave him a low score of 20. Go figure.

The rest of the stars’ performances were not fantastic but good. But Wendy Williams’ Fox Trot left her story flat. The judges didn’t like it at all and gave her 15. Do you think Wendy will be going home tonight? Maybe her Fox Trot will be her last dance on the show.
