Yes, I’m disappointed and sad; not angry just sad about this country. All of my life I believed in the American exceptionalism. We could do and be whatever we wanted to be – provided we worked hard and aspired to greatness. Now the mantra is, don’t work hard and don’t care about success, the government will take care of you.

Just like Rush Limbaugh has been saying the last couple of days – how can you vote against “Santa Claus?” Democrats and Obama are the Santa Claus. Give you something for nothing. The government will take care of you. But who pays for all of this? The hard-working people do. However, too many Americans just don’t understand this concept. They think the “government” has a money tree and gives out money and goodies at will. Well, yes, the government has been printing money but that does not stimulate the economy. It just makes it worse.

Mitt Romney had a great vision for this country. He knew how to make money and success. But too many Americans weren’t listening to this because they can get it for free and not work hard for it. That is why I am sad. This isn’t the America I grew up in and imparted my ideas on my children – who are productive members of society I might say.

I cry for the young people who won’t be able to handle the responsibility of adulthood and take care of their children. I am angry at the American people who think that this is a free ride for everyone.

I know times change, but this direction our country is taking is not right. So we are saddled with four more years of Obama and his progressive/socialistic ideals. Mr. President, you have lied to us time and again and you have no idea how to get us out of this mess. That is why I am sad that Mitt Romney didn’t win and sad for our country.

I won’t get into how the Democrats stuffed the ballot boxes or stole the election. That is for someone else to say. I just see how much our country has changed for the worse and not the better.

May God Bless us and keep us safe.

During this political year, it seems that all kinds of things are coming out that the presidential candidates did in the past. Obama ate dog meat when he was younger, smoked pot and did cocaine in high school. But Romney “bullied” a kid in high school by cutting off his long hair.

What a crime of the century! Mitt Romney cut off the hair of a high school boy in his school. Well CNN just had to bring on a psychologist to help us understand this type of behavior. They were talking about the repercussions of bullying and how it affects the lives of adults – the bully and the one being bullied. What a bunch of hogwash! I’m sure we have had incidents in high school that we weren’t proud of but we turned out okay.

So for the sake of transparency, I have to make a confession from my high school years. It was my Senior year, in fact it was the last week of my Senior year. My friend and I were in study hall – yes they had study hall back then – and we were bored. So we were chatting it up like crazy. One of the teachers in the study hall told us to be quiet not once but three times. Of course, we ignored him because we were Seniors. As a result, we were told to stand in the corner for the rest of the study hall period. We were embarrassed and never went back to study hall because we ditched that class the rest of the week.

There, I said it and now I feel better. I know it wasn’t a bully incident but we were being undisciplined and rude and well just being Seniors. So now I won’t be able to run for higher office in this country because of this incident.

How ridiculous is this? But when you can’t find anything else to demean another candidate, I guess you have to go back to his high school years and maybe elementary school to find out “dirt” about a candidate. Hold on tight everyone, this election year is going to be nasty and dirty and downright idiotic. Focus on the what we the people really are looking for in a president and not what the main stream media wants us to pay attention to.

This really boils my blood!

As you may know, President Obama early this week told his Russian counterpart, Medvedev, to give him “space” so that he could have “more flexibility” after the 2012 presidential election in regard to missile defense issues. First of all, what does that mean and second of all if it means what I think it means, then Obama wants to give up our defenses to please the Russians.

Now I was brought up during the days when you did not trust the Communists in Russia. You kept them at arm’s length and showed peace through strength – yes just like Ronald Reagan said. Now the Obama administration wants to give in to them and I wouldn’t trust any communist as far as I could through them, especially Putin.

Obviously, Mitt Romney, GOP candidate running for President, also feels the same way when he said that “Russia is the geopolitical foe.” Makes sense to me. But the communist propaganda machine, Pravda, revved up its rhetoric against him.

According to the Weekly Standard, in an op-ed posted on Pravda’s website said this: “Electing Mitt Romney as the next President of the United States of America would be like appointing a serial paedophile as a kindergarten teacher, a rapist as a janitor at a girls’ dormitory or a psychopath with a fixation on knives as a kitchen hand. His comments on Russia are a puerile attempt at making the grand stage and boy, did he blow it…”

And that was only the beginning of their inflammatory remarks against Mitt Romney. Pravda goes on to question American democracy and say that Romney is just an “adolescent” school boy.  Somewhat like Condoleezza Rice did before the Bush regime was er…”elected” …, Mitt Romney takes the chance to mouth off about Russia, calling her “our number one geopolitical foe” which fights “every cause for the world’s worst actors”. Unfortunately, such vapid stupidity has become commonplace among senior US politicians, providing the rest of the world with a telling insight as to the real nature of the political class in that country – out of touch, out of date and dangerously jingoistic. In short, overgrown self-opinionated school boys with super-egos but nothing whatsoever to back it up with.”

Then, Pravda praises present Russian relations with the United States under President Obama. “Exactly at a time when Russia and the USA are finding that they have far more in common than differences, exactly when they see that they are much more friends than foes, when they see that there is so much to be gained through collaboration, a foul-mouthed, big-headed oaf like Romney with more money than sense makes a comment that reveals who he really is to the world: a pea-brained, pith-headed simpleton with too much testosterone and too little common sense, with zero tact, no diplomacy and a paramount grasp on the intricacies of world politics. A prize, good-for-nothing ignoramus,” writes Pravda.

The piece ends by threatening Romney. “So talking about geopolitical foes…next time Mitt Romney had better back off, butt out and mind his manners, so as not to appear like a foul-mouthed guttersnipe whose utter ignorance and pig-headed arrogance is only too clear for all to see. See how he walked straight into this one, ladies and gentlemen? Imagine THAT as your President…”

How dare these communist propagandists write an article like this! Butt out of our political system until you find some civility to your tone. Not only is this an attack piece but nasty and dirty propaganda that you have been preaching for over 70 years or more.

I don’t trust communists and never will. I know that I am not alone on this, ask the people of Poland, Hungry, Czechoslovakia and other countries you held under your thumb for all those years. They don’t want you back in their lives and I don’t want you in my life or in my country’s life.

I was listening to Rush Limbaugh this morning and he was talking about an article from AP News, titled “Obama peddles modest American dream.”

As Rush so eloquently pointed out that Obama’s message of Hope and Change has now turned to what he sees this country and its people in – mediocrity. However, this article sugar coats Obama’s message by saying that Obama wants to focus on the middle-class and what they are “feeling.”

I can tell you what we are “feeling” – a President who wants to take over our lives and tell us what to do, when to do it, and how to do it.

According to this article, Obama is pivoting and wants to deal with a different economic and political reality as he seeks re-election. He’s focused less on a lofty vision for overcoming divisions and remaking Washington, and more on the most basic building blocks of middle-class economic security: a job, a house, a college education for the kids, health care, money for retirement.

Obama said, “If you’re willing to put in the work, the idea is that you should be able to raise a family and own a home; not go bankrupt because you got sick, because you’ve got some health insurance that helps you deal with those difficult times; that you can send your kids to college; that you can put some money away for retirement.” “That’s all most people want,” he said. “Folks don’t have unrealistic ambitions. They do believe that if they work hard they should be able to achieve that small measure of an American Dream.”

A “small measure of an American Dream?” No, Mr. President this country was founded on the freedom to achieve as much as you can of the American Dream. As Rush Limbaugh appropriately pointed out, the President wants us to “fear” getting sick because we may go bankrupt. The President wants us to settle for a small 1200 square foot house, a lousy job, take the bus or train to work and then drive a Chevy Volt to mediocrity.

America do you want a life of mediocrity? Or do you want to have a life of personal achievement that only you can do without government help?

This November, do not settle for mediocrity- vote out Obama and let’s get this country on the right track once again.

This should be in the category of the pot calling the kettle black. According to the Washington Examiner, the Obama-Biden reelection campaign is stepping up fundraising to help them fight back the “smear” machine from GOP front-runner Mitt Romney.

In an email to supporters this morning, Obama campaign manager Jim Messina warned that the Republicans will have a fat bank account to tap for negative ads, something both Romney and Newt Gingrich did in Florida.

“They’re going to try to spend and smear their way to the White House,” Messina said about Republican groups and candidates.

One thing is for sure: the fall election is already setting up to be the most expensive in history, with Obama expected to spend $750 million-$1 billion and the eventual GOP challenger and Republican-leaning groups likely to join to spend over $500 million.

In fact, as President Obama was feting donors last night at the posh St. Regis hotel in downtown Washington and then a private home in Chevy Chase, Md., a Romney associate told the Examiner, “He’s going to need a lot of money.”

Here’s Messina’s note:

“I’m not going to beat around the bush. Take a look at these numbers from Florida and then chip in $3 or more to support a much different kind of presidential campaign.

Here’s just a sample of what went down:

— $15.3 million: How much money Mitt Romney and his backers spent in the state (compared to $3.4 million spent by Newt Gingrich and his groups). (Note: because he had the money to spend, so what!)

— 13,000: The number of advertisements put on the air on Mitt’s behalf as of mid-week last week. Newt had about 200. (Note: so what again!)

— 92: The percentage of these ads that was negative. (Note: some were and some told the truth nothing different from what the Democrats will be doing.)

That’s ugly, and it tells us a lot about what to expect from Romney, or whoever wins the Republican nomination. They’re going to try to spend and smear their way to the White House. (Note: I’m sure you will be doing the same!)

These super PACs can dominate the airwaves, but what they can’t do is mobilize volunteers on the ground.

We’re doing this the right way — will you help?

Thanks,

Jim Messina

Campaign Manager

Obama for America”

This is so unbelievable! Already the Democrats are smearing Romney and just about every Republican candidate as well as Congressmen and women and Senators. My comments are in the “Note” section because Jim Messina is nothing but a hawker for the Democrats. I guess he understands fully about “smear” tactics because he also employs the same tactics he’s accusing the GOP of doing!

During a post-Florida interview on CNN, Romney attempted to explain his focus as president would be to restore economic prosperity for America’s battered middle class but he also said that he wasn’t concerned about the very poor.

Now if you stop there, you would say, WHAT!

But you need to hear the rest of his comment. He said that the most indigent among us already have a generous safety net on which to fall back (welfare, SCHIP, Medicaid, etc), and that very well-off citizens are doing just fine on their own.

But what you will hear from the mainstream media as well as Democrats is that Mitt Romney doesn’t care about the poor!  Democrats’ entire strategy against Romney, if he’s the nominee, is to beat the class warfare drum loudly and relentlessly to try to drown out President Obama’s demonstrable failures.  There’s nothing that Team Romney can do to prevent Democrats from employing this cynical strategy, but their candidate should consciously avoid making his opponents’ job any easier.

It’s too bad that our politicians can’t say what they feel and probably what the average American feels without being excoriated by the media and the Democrat machine. I totally understood what he was saying because he is right. There is enough help for the very poor; unfortunately it is the taxpayers who are taking care of them. The middle class has the real problem – they make too much money for government help and not enough money to be able to pay for high prices, i.e. gas, health care, groceries, etc. I guess that’s why they call it middle class because you are caught in the middle and can’t get help or make enough money to pay for essentials.

As far as I am concerned this was no gaffe but much ado about nothing. But hold on – there will be more Democrat misquotes to come in the near future.
