An article on MSNBC, shows just how gullible people can be. First of all, there is no way that the federal government will be paying for your utility bills especially if you have to give them your personal information. There are state programs to help people pay for their utility bills but there is no such federal program.

As a result, scammers are using a form of identity theft that has already claimed thousands of victims. These scammers are so bold they will even contact you by going door-to-door with this bogus utility bill payment scam. They are convincing unsuspected people that a special federal government assistance program has been set up – they describe it as a bailout authorized by President Barack Obama’s administration- to help pay utility bills.

But here is the catch, you have to “register” with them and give them your Social Security number and other personal information, i.e. bank account number. Obviously there is no such program. But these scammers are shrewd, they us door-to-door solicitation, Facebook, emails and tweets to convince people. Then these victims pass it on to their family and friends through these social networks. This is how the scam is growing.

Once again, if it is too good to be true it’s probably a scam. If you are having problems paying your utility bill, contact your utility company and work out payments with them. They are often very willing to get payments from you than no payment at all.

I’ve been watching Dancing with the Stars ever since it started seven years ago. For all those years I was able to pick who would be eliminated and once again I was right. Maria Menounos was eliminated just as I predicted.

Katherine Jenkins, William Levy and Donald Driver will be dancing next week for the Mirror Ball Trophy, once again as I predicted. It is sad though not to see Derek dancing in the finals but I think he needs some time away to get recharged and get new ideas for his dances. Once again Cheryl and Mark are in the finals and a newcomer, Peta, will be there. Will she be able to handle the pressure and get Donald Driver to perform at his best? We’ll see.

Tuesday’s night elimination was fun to watch and I especially enjoyed seeing Julianne Hough. But her singing and gyrating was rather weird. She is a good singer but I do like her better as a dancer. She also seemed pleased when asked how her “boyfriend” is doing – it’s Ryan Seacrest you know. I think she can do better but then as my mother used to say, there is no accounting for taste and you can’t pick them for anybody.

Next week are the finals so good luck to the stars and their professional dancers. Rumor has it that next season may feature previous stars – the most popular ones who didn’t make it to the finals. No names yet but rumor also has it that the ratings for DWTS is down and maybe this will spice up the show with familiar faces. Heck it worked for “Survivor” a couple of times maybe this will work for Dancing with the Stars.

According to CNSNews article, “Pelosi: Her Catholic Faith ‘Compels’ her to support same sex marriage,” just makes me want to say OMG!

Here is an excerpt from the article:

“House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said Thursday that her Catholic faith “compels” her to “be against discrimination of any kind” and thus for same-sex marriage.

A reporter asked Pelosi: “Many of the people that are opposed to gay marriage cite their religion as the reason why they’re opposed. You’re a Catholic that supports gay marriage. Do you believe that religion and the idea that you can support gay marriage can be separated? And how do you grapple with the idea that you support gay marriage as a Catholic?”

Pelosi responded: “My religion has, compels me–and I love it for it–to be against discrimination of any kind in our country, and I consider this a form of discrimination. I think it’s unconstitutional on top of that. So I think that yesterday was a great day for America because the president in a very personal, as well as presidential way, made history, and hopefully this will bring people together on the issue,” Pelosi said.

Pelosi also said that the president “went a long way” in shortening the difference between the “inevitable and the inconceivable” of the introduction of same-sex “marriage.”

She further said: “It’s a matter of time. It’s all about time. And on these issues, what is inevitable to some of us is inconceivable to others and what we want to do is shorten the difference between the inevitable and the inconceivable and I think the president went a long way in doing that yesterday.”

Love how she used the word “inconceivable”. This reminds me of the character from the movie “The Princess Bride,” who used that word endlessly. If you haven’t seen the movie, watch it because it is “inconceivable” that anyone uses that word anymore.

Nancy, Nancy what are we going to do about you? You claim you are a devote Catholic but then you say things like this? I really think she has some form of dementia or is it because she wants to just jump on the bandwagon for political purposes? She and Joe Biden should take a long hard look at their devotion to being Catholic. It may be time for them to change their religion.

During this political year, it seems that all kinds of things are coming out that the presidential candidates did in the past. Obama ate dog meat when he was younger, smoked pot and did cocaine in high school. But Romney “bullied” a kid in high school by cutting off his long hair.

What a crime of the century! Mitt Romney cut off the hair of a high school boy in his school. Well CNN just had to bring on a psychologist to help us understand this type of behavior. They were talking about the repercussions of bullying and how it affects the lives of adults – the bully and the one being bullied. What a bunch of hogwash! I’m sure we have had incidents in high school that we weren’t proud of but we turned out okay.

So for the sake of transparency, I have to make a confession from my high school years. It was my Senior year, in fact it was the last week of my Senior year. My friend and I were in study hall – yes they had study hall back then – and we were bored. So we were chatting it up like crazy. One of the teachers in the study hall told us to be quiet not once but three times. Of course, we ignored him because we were Seniors. As a result, we were told to stand in the corner for the rest of the study hall period. We were embarrassed and never went back to study hall because we ditched that class the rest of the week.

There, I said it and now I feel better. I know it wasn’t a bully incident but we were being undisciplined and rude and well just being Seniors. So now I won’t be able to run for higher office in this country because of this incident.

How ridiculous is this? But when you can’t find anything else to demean another candidate, I guess you have to go back to his high school years and maybe elementary school to find out “dirt” about a candidate. Hold on tight everyone, this election year is going to be nasty and dirty and downright idiotic. Focus on the what we the people really are looking for in a president and not what the main stream media wants us to pay attention to.

Well it’s about time!

For over a year, Eric Holder has been stonewalling, twisting his story and covering up what he knew and didn’t know about Fast and Furious. According to an article by Katie Pavlich of Townhall, Darrell Issa, Chairman of the House Oversight Committee said that within weeks he will file contempt charges against Eric Holder.

Holder still won’t comply with congressional subpoenas for the Fast and Furious documents. Many of the documents were due by February 9 and now it is near the end of April.

You may not know but Katie Pavlich has written a book titled “Fast and Furious: Barack Obama’s Bloodiest Scandal and Its Shameless Coverup” that delves into this subject. I have not had a chance to read the book but I’m sure she has done extensive research on this subject. She was on Bill O’Reilly the other night discussing her book and it seems that old Bill was skeptical about her findings. I’m not, I have read a lot of Katie Pavlich articles and she is a true journalist and deals only in facts.

As Katie says in her article, “The question now becomes, will perjury charges follow charges of contempt? After all, Holder has changed his testimony about what he knew and when he knew about Fast and Furious multiple times, under oath in front of Congress.”

Chairman Issa should also be looking into what Janet Napolitano, the third Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, also knew about this as well. How far up the chain of command did this go? Maybe we’ll have a May or June surprise coming soon that will shake up this Administration.

Hilary Rosen, an advisor to the Obama Administration and DNC, just made her fifteen minutes of fame by trashing Ann Romney as a woman who has not worked a day in her life so she should have no opinion on the economy and how it affects women.

Isn’t that the most ridiculous thing you have ever heard in your life!

Who is this Hilary Rosen? I believe she is nothing but a feminist hag who loves to disrespect all women who don’t follow lock-step into her world. Also I think she is a plant from this Administration to detract from the real issues of the day.

The number of Americans filing for jobless aid rose last week to the highest level since January. The jobless claims data comes in the wake of Friday’s disappointing employment report for March, which showed the economy created 120,000 new jobs, the smallest amount since October. Instead the headlines of the day are about Rosen, a feminist hag, who has a vendetta against stay at home moms.

So do you think that is the reason why the DNC sent her out to trash Ann Romney? Just to deflect the real issues of our economy? Get ready for more of this to happen between now and November.

Rosen thinks being a stay at home mom shouldn’t have an opinion or even know what is going on in this world. I totally disagree with her premise.  Ann Romney and I are about the same age. We are both highly educated women but we took different paths because of our situations. I stayed home with my two boys until the economy crashed during Jimmy Carter’s presidency in the 70’s. At that time the economy sucked. Gas prices were high and were being rationed, cost of groceries were high – just like it is today.  I had no choice but to find work to help out. Being a mom and a full-time employee was hard but I did it for my family not for the feminism cause. Isn’t that what happens to keep a family together?

I admire women who stay at home and not work. They are the ones who are very active in the PTA and other outside school activities.  They also are great at budgeting money as well as their time. They play roles that include teachers, nurses/doctors, psychologists, caregivers and chefs to name a few things. When a mom works she gives up some of these roles to daycare, schools and take out dinners.

Bringing home a paycheck feels good, but being a mom and wife feels terrific. If you can afford to stay home – stay home – if not don’t trash stay at home moms. For heaven sakes we are all sisters and should respect the way we choose to live.

But as you can tell, feminist hags just don’t get it.

I normally don’t talk about my personal life on my web blog, but when I saw this article, I just have to share it with everyone. My spouse has Stage IV metastatic breast cancer. After four years of successful treatment sadly the cancer has spread to his bones.

Noreen Fraser, the author of this article, Chemo success, is a co-founder of STAND UP TO CANCER and co-produced the TV show, which raised 100 million dollars for cancer research.  Noreen went on to create the Noreen Fraser Foundation to raise money and awareness for women’s cancer research.

As she said in her article, “As I have said before, living with cancer is like being at war.  With your helmet in place, you dodge as many bullets as you can to stay alive.” That is so true and you hold your breath every time you have blood work done. Hoping and praying that the cancer is gone and not coming back.

But as she points out, “The cancer will always be there, looking for new places to attach and grow..  Cancer sucks.  For those battling metastatic cancer, you are never truly free.  One foot is always shackled to the jail cell door.  After the phone calls and congratulations are over, I still have cancer.”

For those of you who have spouses or even if you have cancer, never give up. Fight every day to beat the cancer because new research and treatments are being discovered.
