I don’t know about you, but I cannot wait until this election is over. I’m so tired of the phone calls, the ads on TV and all the flapping about who is the best person to be President. As you may know, I am a conservative and have been disenchanted by the current Administration – Obama and his buddies to be specific. What a tragedy he has heaped on our country. We are more divided now, our economy is tanking and there is no feeling of unity as Americans. Whose fault is it? Obama.

I heard Obama say the other day, “Who do you trust?” Well Mr. President, you lied about Benghazi where an Ambassador and three Americans died. You lied about Obamacare, my health care cost is just like Mitt Romney said, up over $2,000 a year. Your all of the above energy programs is spot on what Mitt Romney said; the all above is above ground and nothing below ground – that was a good zinger! And when Obama says, vote for revenge – OMG – what is this guy all about?

I have voted already. I have voted for love of country and put a leader in the White House. I voted for Mitt Romney. Now all of you progressive wackos can take a shot at me. I don’t care. I love this country and it hurts when the current Administration has dragged our country in the mud.

One more day and we will truly take back our country from this most corrupt Administration that I have ever seen in my lifetime.

This year in Colorado has been tough. Wild fires and drought have hurt many communities. But this situation for our farmers in Colorado only shows how damaging bureaucracy really is.

In Weld County, a rural area on the eastern plains, grow thousands of acres of corn. However, this year, at least one third of the corn crop is dying because of the drought in the state. Two weeks ago the farmers stopped receiving surface irrigation water from rivers because of the drought conditions. As a result nearly 500 acres of corn is baking in the sun and dying.

Because of a 2006 decision by the Colorado Water Court, farmers in Weld County are severely limited as to how much groundwater they can pump for irrigation. Most were able to pump groundwater for a few days. The reason for the limitations is to protect the water levels in the aquifer and to protect the water rights of residents and farmers downstream.

However, farmers in Weld County argue the water levels in the aquifer are so high that many residents are forced to drain and pump water from the basements of their homes.

Farmers, along with the support of the Weld County Commissioners, formally requested Governor John Hickenlooper to order the pumps be turned on for one month to get the farmers through this year’s emergency drought situation. During that one month time period the water being pumped would be monitored to limit the impact on the aquifer.

In a statement from a spokesperson for Governor Hickenlooper said, “The Governor has explored every angle of allowing wells to pump more than their legally allocated amounts, and the Attorney General has twice said that’s not possible.”

So there you have it, bureaucracy at its finest. Yes, we have drought conditions but we also need to grow food for us to eat. There seems to be no compromise on this situation. Get ready to pay higher prices in the future for food.

The 4th of July, Independence Day, this year is very special to all of us. Our freedom is very precious to us and unfortunately as time goes on there are “forces” that are trying to suppress our freedoms.  We all need to be vigilant and make sure that we don’t give away our freedom by not paying attention to what is going on.

The United Nations is trying to get a world gun law passed and of course Hillary Clinton is enthusiastic about this. This would be disastrous for all Americans. The new healthcare law was found constitutional because it is a “tax”. Oh goody more taxes coming down in the near future. Eric Holder’s  Fast and Furious gun running has become a joke and this administration is spinning the truth on this matter. We need to hold this administration accountable for this debacle, don’t give up and let them sweep it under the rug!

Here in Colorado we have had disastrous fires that have devastated communities. My prayers are for all of the victims of these tragedies. President Obama was here and said that he would do whatever he can to help out. Right. I’m a little upset about this because when Texas was burning last year, the President turned a blind eye and a deaf ear to that state. Because we have a democrat governor, John Hickenlooper, he’s all over this important swing state to show that he cares. Too little, too late. His presence here was just a photo op for him. I do not trust Obama anymore because of all of his lies to us.

That is why I’m saying, listen carefully and only believe what sounds true to your heart. Don’t fall for a “snake oil” salesman because if it sounds too good to be true it probably is.

I hope next 4th of July we can really celebrate because we are truly free and enjoy our exceptionalism as being a proud American.

Just as I predicted, J.R. won the Mirror Ball Trophy. I knew he would, after all he is a war veteran, hero and danced really well. I’m also happy for his dance partner Karina because she has been trying to win the trophy for about twelve years. I guess it just takes that one special celebrity that has committed to learning and does his/her best on all the dances. Sure J.R. had some flubs but heck no one is perfect.

I’ve heard rumors that Dancing with the Stars may go only one time during the year because their ratings are not what it used to be. I also think they need to find better celebrities and not be so predictable. Don’t get stars that you know can’t or won’t spend the time training. I know not everyone is talented but come on. This show is embarrassing itself and the celebrity when they have really bad left-footed dancers that have no musicality. The viewers want to see a competition and not just vote on pure sympathy for the celebrities.

That’s my two cents about Dancing with the Stars.

As many of you know, Hope Solo was eliminated last night on Dancing with the Stars. I think she knew that she was going to be eliminated. But I do have to say she took the news gracefully and didn’t cause any problems. What a true professional. I did like it when she said that she didn’t have the opportunity to win the Mirror Ball Trophy but she will be working hard to bring home a gold medal next year for the U.S. What a classy lady.

I wonder if Maks will be back next year? He seemed to have had a very difficult time this season with the judges. Maybe it’s time for Maks to take some time off and move on to other things. I did hear on ET last night that Dancing with the Stars may be looking at only doing one show a season instead of two. This season’s show wasn’t the best one and as I said before it is getting pretty old and stale. I’m not impressed by the new stage and with the celebrities either.

Next week is the final with J.R., Rob Kardashian and Ricki Lake. I predict J.R. to win. But we’ll see how the judges score their dances and who they favor. After all they do play a big role in pushing their favorites along.

I’m sure you’ve heard Joe Biden, V.P comments in regard to Congress not passing the President’s Jobs Bill. He said that rape and murder will go up. But if you think this type of nasty rhetoric is just coming from Biden, you are wrong. This week, the First Lady, Michelle Obama, speaking at a fundraiser at a private residence in Tampa, FL, told the audience that a Republican victory in 2012 presidential election would result in curbs on freedom and speech and religion.

But she was just warming up. She claims that the power of the president to appoint members of the Supreme Court would cause these problems. Huh?

This is what she said: Let’s not forget about what it meant when my husband appointed those two brilliant Supreme Court justices — (applause) — and for the first time in history, our daughters — and our sons — watched three women take their seats on our nation’s highest court. (Applause.) But more importantly, let’s not forget the impact those decisions will have on our lives for decades to come — on our privacy and security, on whether we can speak freely, worship openly, and love whomever we choose. That is what’s at stake here. (Applause.)

Mrs. Obama’s contention that Republican justices would curtail people’s abilities to “love whomever we choose” appears to suggest Republicans would go beyond opposition to gay marriage and move to limit gay relationships. President Obama himself claims he opposes gay marriage, so her suggestion that Republican-selected justices would jeopardize the ability to “love whomever we choose” cannot possibly refer to gay marriage.

As she has previously, Michelle also posits racism on the part of Republicans, indicating their policies would lead to discrimination against children based on “what they look like.” Will we be a country where opportunity is limited to just the few at the top? Who are we? Or will we give every child a chance to succeed no matter where they’re from, or what they look like or how their money parents are — have. Who are we?

Oh yes folks, the nastiness is starting with this 2012 presidential election. But then, Michelle Obama for the first time in her life is proud of her country. Marie Antoinette couldn’t say it any better.

This is the best news of the day and for the next week. However, we got so many conflicting reports – he was killed a week ago, he lived in a mansion, familia DNA has confirmed that it was him, he was killed on Sunday. What is the truth? We may never know for a while but all I know is that this mad man who killed thousands of Americans is dead.

What bothers me is that both President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton keep saying he also killed Muslims. While this is true it took the U.S. Navy Seals to take him out. Do I hear any thanks from Muslims? Nope, only crickets chirping.

I am so proud of our military and intelligence community. They worked very hard and their mission is accomplished. Now some Muslim clerics said that we didn’t dispose of the body properly. Burial at sea into Davy Jones’ Locker sound proper to me. Let the fish nibble away so no one will ever find his body.

President Obama of course will take credit for this but it took President Bush who set the stage for this momentous occasion. Through President Bush’s leadership he left a legacy of counter intelligence to gather information and to follow up with a kill. This
link gives you a time line of what happened

A senior U.S. defense official said the actual operation took place at 3:30 p.m. ET. Officials said three adult men other than bin Laden were killed – one was believed to be bin Laden’s son, the others couriers. One woman was killed when she was used as a human shield and two other women were also injured, the officials said. No Americans were killed, though the U.S. did
lose a helicopter that went down due to mechanical failure. An official said the Pakistanis were not involved in the raid but helped provide information that led to it. Intelligence information was obtained from Guantanamo Bay detainees and we followed up

Great job but we are not finished until all radical Muslims join Bin Laden.

  • Comments Off on Another star is eliminated from Dancing with the Stars

Last night’s Dancing with the Stars eliminated another rising dance star – Chris Jericho. It was sad but now the competition is getting really tough. Chris was an up and coming dancer and Cheryl did her best to get him there. Unfortunately, viewers didn’t think he was good enough to continue.

Before The Results Show a pre-Results show was aired. It was pretty lame with comments from judges and former stars on each of the competitors. Heck Brooke Burke didn’t even show up for this one that’s how lame it was.

For those of you of the 70’s you probably loved listening to the Backstreet Boys and New Kids on the Block singing on The Results Show. This isn’t my cup of tea – as Len would say – but it was a nice break from unknown singers performing on the show. Brooke showed up wearing a black sequined/rhinestone short dress with elbow length sleeves. She looked gorgeous but come on wardrobe person, she can wear other colors beside black or purple or gray. It’s spring and let’s dress her up with some color.

Next week the stars will be performing two dances and I know in a couple of weeks lifts will be allowed. I wonder how Maks will handle a lift with Kirstie? Hope he doesn’t hurt himself again. Ralph Macchio, Romeo, Hines Ward, Chelsea Kane, Kirstie Alley and Kendra Wilkinson are left to perform. Good luck to all of them.

You can’t make this stuff up folks. The former Obama Adviser Van Jones (he was the “green jobs czar”) is helping to push for a new, global architecture of environmental law that would give Mother Nature the same rights status as humans.

Van Jones is the newest board members of an obscure San Francisco New Age-style organization known as Pachamama Alliance. This group is working on creating a global movement to make human rights for Mother Nature an international reality — complete with enforceable laws — by 2014.

If you think this is whacky, the U.N. is also sponsoring a global summit on “sustainable development” to take place in Rio de Janeiro next May. They will be looking at similar issues of “global environmental governance.” Another useless cause when so many people are starving in the world.

So what is his newest organization planning to do? The Global Alliance for the Rights of Nature “is working to build a movement of millions of educated and inspired individuals, with thousands of successful cases of enforceable Rights of Nature legislation having been enacted at local and national levels, by the end of 2014.

The group also is running a parallel media campaign, called “Four Years. Go.,” to build enthusiasm for the same rapid environmental change, using “personal communication, social media and a rich web presence to inspire a movement of people who recognize the urgency, and the opportunity, of this time and stand for using the next four years, through 2014, to literally change the course of history.”

Jones has continued to advocate by organizing a radical “green” restructuring of the U.S. economy as a senior fellow at the Center for American Progress, a think tank closely associated with financier George Soros, and at Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson Center for International Affairs.

The movement that Jones has joined shares its goals with some of the more radical governments represented at the United Nations, notably Ecuador and Bolivia, both nations with substantial territories in the Amazon Basin, and both with close ties to the socialist government of Venezuelan strongman Hugo Chavez.

Bolivia last week sponsored an “interactive dialogue” on “Harmony With Nature” at the United Nations that included promotion of the same notion of a Universal Declaration of Human Rights for Mother Nature. By no coincidence, the U.N. debate was scheduled immediately prior to this year’s April 22 Earth Day celebrations—renamed “Mother Earth Day,” at the United Nations.

In January, Bolivia became the world’s first nation to grant the natural environment equal rights to humans. Bolivia’s Law of Mother Earth is heavily influenced by the spiritual indigenous Andean world outlook that revolves around the earth deity Pachamama, roughly translated to Mother Earth.

The Bolivian law establishes 11 rights for nature that include: the right to life and to exist; the right to pure water and clean air; the right to not have cellular structure modified or genetically altered; the right to have nature’s processes free from human alteration. The law also establishes a Ministry of Mother Earth to act as an ombudsman, which will ensure nature is “not being affected my mega-infrastructure and development projects that affect the balance of ecosystems and the local inhabitant communities.”

The right to life and to exist for Mother Nature is a noble cause but what about human right to life and to exist? What will pro-abortionist say about that? I’m all for being responsible for our environment but to establish laws and obviously punishment for not abiding by the law is totally irresponsible.  Mother Nature provides sustenance to humans and we should honor her by being good stewards of the land. However, we don’t need to have laws to tell us this. Logging companies cut down older trees and replace them with new trees – otherwise they won’t have trees to log in the future. That doesn’t take a progressive organization to figure that one out.

The sad part of all of this is these people get paid the big bucks to tell us what not to do when common sense should prevail.

Last night’s Dancing with the Stars featured dances to songs that the stars secretly enjoy hearing. But once again they had to dance to a Samba, Paso Dobla, Waltz, Quick Step, or Tango. All the stars did really well but there were some slip ups.

Karina slipped on Ralph’s long coat while dancing and she fell pretty hard. But she jumped up and kept on dancing. The judges gave Ralph’s Paso Dobla a score of 24 and that’s being generous. I’m not excited about his dancing these last few weeks. It seems that besides the dance steps there are no actual performance from him. He seems deadpanned, his serious face seems more like a scared face to me!

No mishaps for Kirstie Alley’s Samba. She did really great and received a score of 26 from the judges. She looked more comfortable with this dance and it was the best dance for her so far.

Romeo’s Waltz was good but once again I didn’t get any emotion from him. However, Carrie Anne must have because she gave him a 10 and Len and Bruno gave him nines. Total score was 28.

Hines Ward’s Waltz was very good and he is doing very well with his performance and technique. He received a score of 27.

Chelsea Kane’s Quick Step was cute and bubbly and Carrie Anne must have been feeling very generous last night because she gave her a 10. Her total score was 28.

Unfortunately, Chris Jericho’s Tango was not good enough for the judges. I saw a real athleticism from him but the judged gave him a low score of 22.

Kendra Wilkinson’s Samba gave Bruno the most fun of the night. He was ready to throw money at her! I thought he was over the top with his reaction and his comments. Her performance was good and shaking all parts of her body but that’s about it. The judges gave her a score of 25.

Brooke Burke wore a long black sparkly dress with capped shoulders. She looked gorgeous again. Just a side note – it was Len’s birthday yesterday and I think he enjoyed himself with all the good dancing.

So who will be leaving? I’m afraid it may be Chris Jericho but I really think Ralph Macchio isn’t hitting the mark for this season’s dancing. He needs to leave the show before the final four in a couple of weeks. Also Kendra isn’t really a top contender, her days are numbered too.
